Common questions
It says no pages link here, but I know some do
The app indexes pages as they are saved. Pages written before you installed it are not in the index yet.
Click Index this space in the macro. It reads every page in the space once and back-fills. A large space takes a few minutes — leave the page open while it runs. You only need to do it once per space.
A new link isn't showing
Indexing happens when the linking page is saved. Open that page, save it again, then reload the page you are looking at.
Does it work across spaces?
Yes. A link from any space in your site is listed, with the space shown beside it.
Does it find links in comments or attachments?
No. Page bodies only.
What is the Link Report?
A wiki-wide view, under Apps in the Confluence menu, that lists every page in a space that nothing links to. Useful before an archive, a migration or a clear-out. If the space has never been indexed, the report says so rather than pretending every old page is an orphan.
Can it see or change my content?
It reads pages to find links. It holds no write permission at all — it cannot create, edit or delete anything in your Confluence, and there is no scope in its manifest that would let it.
It runs entirely on Atlassian's infrastructure and makes no outbound network calls. The publisher cannot see your content.
Will it show people pages they aren't allowed to see?
No. Every link is checked against the reader's own Confluence permissions before it is displayed. Someone who cannot open a restricted page is not told that it exists; everyone who can, still sees it.
What is stored?
Which page links to which, the linking page's title and space, and a timestamp. Page contents are never stored. See the privacy policy.
How do I remove it?
Uninstall from Manage apps in Confluence. All stored data is deleted.
One honest limitation. An empty result means "nothing found in the index", not "nothing links here". Treat it as a strong signal before deleting something — not as a guarantee.
