Terms of use

Expand Plus for Confluence · last updated 7 September 2026

1. Agreement

By installing or using Expand Plus for Confluence (the app) you agree to these terms. The app is published by Sabitarani Pradhan, trading as Veridian NextGen (the publisher), and distributed through the Atlassian Marketplace. Atlassian's own Marketplace Terms of Use also apply.

2. What the app does

It adds a collapsible section to a Confluence page. Unlike Confluence's own expand macro, a section can be set to start open, and its header can be given a colour.

3. What it does not do — please read before installing

Other macros do not render inside an Expand Plus section. This includes Jira issue macros, tables of contents, other apps' macros, and another Expand Plus. This is a limitation of Atlassian's renderer, which will not draw one macro inside another macro's body, and no app can work around it.

Where a macro is placed inside a section, the section displays a short line naming it and asking you to move it out. Nothing is removed from your page — the macro is still there in the editor and reappears if you move it outside the section or remove the app.

If your sections need to contain macros, use Confluence's built-in expand instead. We would rather you knew that before installing than after.

4. No warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, content, profits or business, arising from use of the app.

Total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

6. Data

The app requests no permissions at all and stores nothing. A section's contents are part of your Confluence page and remain so; the app never copies, transmits or retains them. There is therefore no data to return, export or delete on uninstall.

7. Support

Support is provided by email at support@veridiannextgen.com. Normal requests within five working days; issues Atlassian classifies as critical within 24 hours.

8. Fees and cancellation

Billing is handled by Atlassian. Pricing is on the Marketplace listing. Cancellation and refunds follow Atlassian Marketplace policy.

9. Termination

The publisher may terminate these terms if you breach them. Uninstalling the app leaves your page content untouched.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of India, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights in your own country.
